THE MEDIEVAL VILLAGE OF CASTIGLIONCELLO IN QUERCIANELLA

Rich in history, it was already a popular destination during Roman Holiday, which the beautiful villas that are located along the coast. In the Middle Ages Conti Pisan Del Porto built a castle, Castiglione Modiglio, from which derives the modern name of Castiglioncello. Through the centuries, the Medici did erect a tower warning that it is still open. The beach Castiglioncello is one of the most renowned of the Tyrrhenian coast, known throughout Italy and abroad for the natural beauty and quality of services it offers. Far from major roads communication Castiglioncello remained unknown and untouched until modern times.
